One of the questions I get asked most frequently is how I decided to become a massage therapist. Although I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do for my career when graduating high school, I knew I wanted to be of service to others in some wellness or health-oriented field. I knew I wanted to help others know what a connection good touch could provide in a therapeutic space, safe for healing from deep trauma that can be stored in your physical body. I knew after receiving my first massage at age eighteen that I wanted to assist people in receiving that kind of awareness in their own wellness journey.
Rebecca Palafox, LMT
To this profession I bring my openness to learn, my strength to hold my space and space for others, my love for the profession, and the many modalities with which it takes form. I also bring my dedication to learning as many forms of bodywork as I am able to include in my life’s plan. I have a passion for sharing my experiences with massage and bodywork with anyone who has the inclination to listen. The ability to listen to clients’ needs is also a skill I have developed on many levels with job and life experiences.
